And, yes, they did move around a lot, and so did 2 of their sons - one being my g-grampa. Now, I did not know that about Rosey being in CA. with her not being in any census records before her marriage, could it be that she might be listed under an alternate name (could Rosa be her middle name?). I do know that Rosey's last name was Abbott when she married George Phippen, Jr. Whether she was married before him... I haven't a clue.
