    3. I would be happy to do a little seraching for Howard. I do know that the "Army Air Corps" trained in many different locations all over the US. My father-in-law trained in central Texas. Many small towns were near or grew out of the establishment of a military base nearby. There was a small base near Brownwood, TX and many others in that region. I will start looking tomorrow as I live in FDL and I have the time and I am a retired Army Officer who loves history and I have things from both my father and f-in-l from WW II. If you have any more info on him please send it to me, that will help. Also - where was basic training for someone who was in the Army Air Force ( as it was known then)? My husband's uncle, Howard J CONNERS, son of J. B. and Ellen CONNERS of S. Main Street, was a SSG whose plane was shot down over Italy - remains never recovered. We do not know what unit he was in. We would like to find out a little more about him. Were there possibly mentions in the newspaper regarding those MIA ? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
