I live in Goddard in Sedgwick County so know many of the families you've mentioned. Thank you for responding and helping.

Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg//jEC.2ACE/2131.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hello, Jo Ann No, I'm not related to the Andra family but I have a couple of connections. I grew up in the western (Catholic almost) half of Sedgwick County and I'm familiar with the name. Secondly, my family, the Matzeks settled first in Ellinwood in 1891 before the next generation moved to Sedgwick County. My family surnames are Matzek, Faber, Landwehr & Vedder and my family members have married all the other familiar families in western Sedgwick County. Because of this, I have collected info from the Catholic parish centennial books, obits, and family histories into a very large (over 32,000) database. Because the Andras have married people that my people have married, they appear. I don't have a lot of information on them. I forgot to mention, I was also interested because they were in Fond du Lac Co WI which is where my great-grandfather, Mathias Faber, first settled before coming to Sedgwick County. It was all just interesting and I wanted to contribute if I could. Eileen Matzek Davis

Clara Klein second husband was Joseph Rebein. She did die in Willowdale but she and Joseph Rebein are buried at Ellinwood, Kansas. My husband David is Clara's great-grandson.

It is in the Milwaukee Archdiocese and you can find detailed information about getting records on their webpage www.archmil.org One thing to be alert to if you go to the LDS microfilms is that the film for Visitation of Mary in Marytown also has records for at least one other St. Mary Church. It's less confusing if you know that when you start to view it. Hope this helps you a little. Catherine

John Andra and Clara Klein were married 28 Oct 1877 in Ellinwood, Barton County in Kansas, not Wisconsin. Their first child, Christine M was born 6 Dec 1878 in Fond du Lac County. Second child, Frank Joseph Andra (aka Joseph Andra) was born in Ellinwood, Barton, Kansas on 16 Sept 1880. Third child, John A Andra, was born 14 Apr 1883 in Fond du Lac County. Frank Joseph Andra returned to Elllinwood KS to marry and descendants are still in the area. Descendants of John A Andra are still in the Wichita/Sedgwick County area. This info comes from family trees posted at Ancestry.com and Rootsweb.com as well as my own personal genealogy files. The family tree says that Clara Klein Andra died at Willowdale, Kingman, Kansas, however, it does not provide her second married name. I would be happy to share what I have if you wish to contact me personally. Eileen Matzek Davis
