They lived next door to my grandparents on Cotton St in Fond du Lac, I think. My grandparents were Justine and Henry Gillig. They were from Grimm, Russia. Henry Richard Thuerwachter, born February 10, 1881 in Fond du Lac, married Leona Huntington. She was born August 11, 1893 and died April, 1984 in Green Bay. I have no death date for Henry. Leona was a daughter of Charles and Rose Ames Huntington of Green Bay. Rose's parents were Milo and Louisa Baker Ames. Louisa was one of my grandfather's sisters. Instead, I am interested in all the families that lived in the West Scott Street neighborhood of Fond du Lac, especially the roughly 3-by-8-block section from Hwy 45 to Hwy 175, and from Sibley Street to the marsh. That was mostly German. However, there were some F-Cs in there, too, especially early in the city's history, and that has led to me scooping up lots of data related to them. In the same obit I have noted the date as October 24, 1948. Her parents were Louis/Lewis and Mary Clish Lepine. She was born Feb 9, 1907 in Fond du Lac.
