I noticed your post in WESENBERG board. I am looking for Carl Wesenberg who married Henrietta (poss. Pepenberg, papenberg, papenfuss) and had two daughters in Caledonia, Houston Co., MN, Daughters were Johanna Wesenberg and Pauline Wesenberg, both born in 1870's. I have noticed an August Wesenberg in naturalization data for Minnesota and also Land Patent (homestead) information along with a Carl Wesenberg. Might Carl and August be brothers? Do you have a birthdate/location of Carl Wesenberg, the father? Johanna and Pauline Wesenberg married Beckers and both wound up in South Dakota. Thanks! Catharine Becker

Hello ; I am researching our ancestor "Henry James Lambert", born in Guildford England 1812 . He came to America around 1840 , and is said to have lived for many years in Ripon Wisconsin. He supposedly died March 20 , 1873 , and is buried at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon .I am hoping to verify his residence in Ripon, burial at Hillside , and to determine the name of his wife and any other family members living with him . If anyone hs access to an 1850 ,1860 or 1870 census of Ripon ,or a list of burials at Hillside , could you please do a look up Henry James Lambert ? Many thanks , Michelle Sykes .

What Fond du Lac street was named after a governor of New York, and presidential candidate, who speculated heavily in and around the Fond du Lac area? Seymour street, named after Horatio Seymour.
St. Louis Church in Fond du Lac was the first Catholic Church in the community. Organized in 1847, the first building was erected at the corner of Second and Marr Streets (present site of St. Joseph Church). In 1862 the Society of St. Louis was organized to plan an 'all-French' parish. In 1869 the cornerstone for the new church was laid at Follett and Macy, and the first Mass was held in the basement in 1870. Because the French parishioners desired to take the name of St. Louis, the remaining congregation chose the name of St. Joseph. (The History of Fond du Lac County, As told by its Place-names by Ruth Shaw Worthing, 1976) you can find a listing of the churches in the county, at http://www.rootsweb.com/~wifonddu/resources/church/chindex.htm The Archdiocese of Milwaukee allowed filming of all church records, which includes all Catholic churches, so your best source of Catholic records in Fond du Lac is now as close as your local Mormon library.
