The last Maria Anna is our Mary Henz who marries John Lommel. The first two Maria's must be part of the family tragic story? This also is confirmed by the 1900 federal census. See MN, Stearnes county, Rockville, 111 Rockville township, page 1. xxx Lommel is shown as head of household and his wife and two sons and grandmother is Anna Henz, born 1824?, age 75, came to USA in 1875; Nine children, seven living, married 49 years (Adam Henz died 1899 they were married 1849). Everything fits - and the birth date we have for Michael Henz is the same as the Schule.Kelberg site. Thank you again, NOT (Nancy O Thomas)

It was put together as a school project and turned out to be very interesting for me because they included Rettherath, Margaret Henz, hometown. I don't have the address online but it should show up on a search. Karl Joseph Tonner worked with the people to make it happen and he has been very helpful with fnormation that was not included on the site. If you have other people from "the Holy Land" as that FDL/Calumet/Sheboygan counties area are referred to, they might show up on the Kelberg project too. Good luck and let me know what you want to do to share our stuff. mkd

My great grandma was Margaret Henz Halfmann. Her daughter, Elizabeth Halfmann, married Lambert Klasen. Their daughter, Mary Klasen, married Stanley Brown and I am their daughter, Mary Brown Dunsirn and was born and raised in Fond du Lac Sounty. I do have a lot of info on the family. Some of it I researched and some of it came from Barbara Halfmann Hunt of Rochester MN. My mom spoke often of Sister Adrian but I have never followed up on any of that information. I am very interested in what you might have to offer and am willing to share. I do have some family photos including one of "Grit" as my mom's family referred to her. There is a family tragedy story. If you haven't heard it, I can share that too.

So we became Mertes after that. I've found that there are ...many...Anna Marie Webers out there. Yikes. Apparently everyone liked this name. Anna Marie may have had a ton of Weber relatives in the U.S., including yours, but the only one we know of is a Jacob Weber who sold them land in Fond du Lac,Wisconsin in 1850. We are also looking for a Nicholas Schmitz, but he was a priest and cousin to our Anna Marie. The Schmitz and Webers seemed to have many connections, but I don't know what they are yet. Good luck!

[To Diane Hearne], Pelkey and Livernash sound familiar, were they French-Canadians? Those surnames came up as wedding witnesses, possibly in-laws, for some VIAU and BOYER marriages we found in late 19th & early 20th century Marinette Co. WI &/or Menominee Co. MI. Sometimes the spelling was Livermoche or Livernache. Let us know if you want details. My cousins are Mary Ellen Bunker (Gumz), married Dick, and Butch Gumz. I would love to swap Emails and share info if you're the right Ron Fridel. It may be one of your siblings I'm having memory of. I believe you may have looked up my father's birthdate for my mom about 2 years ago. She passed the info on to me and due to a house fire it has been lost. I am trying to locate Steven or Stephen Schmidt, born between 1940 and 1943 or 44. He would have attended the Lutheran Academy I believe and his father was Louis or Louie Schmidt who owned Combination Door in Fond du Lac in the 50's and 60's (as far as I know). I have never met him and would really appreciate any information that may help me find him. Thank you again.
