Quite some time ago, there was a news item that mentioned this picture that today's story is about. A Mr. Earl H. Lee of Everett, Washington had this picture in his possession and very kindly sent it back to the Altoona Tribune along with the names of the people in it. Here is the caption to the picture: Cassie MacDonald's School Class in Altoona about 1897 Residents of the city will recognize some or most of the faces in the above picture of Cassie MacDonald's class in the Altoona school about 1897. The picture of this class was sent to the Tribune by Earl H. Lee of Everett, Wash., who is shown in the picture. He is the fifth one on the front row, between Mabel Deily and Elton Tribbey. How many faces do you recognize? Mr. Lee is now General Secretary of the Y. M. C. A. at Everett. He has shown a warm feeling for the Tribune since he heard of it and subscribed some months ago. He stated in a letter that reading the Tribune "is like renewing old friendships and meeting some new ones." We are thankful to him for the original of the above picture. Below are the names of the students appearing in the class picture above: Front row:, left to right -- Willie Jones, Mamie Jones, Oleda Megorden, Mabel Deily, Earl Lee, Elton Tribbey, Charlie Hart, John Rock, Will Riley, John Cameron, and Bert Callan.
