    3. >From the 5 March 1942 edition of the Altoona Tribune: Local Items Miss Mollie LaGrave and Mrs. Muzette Williams of Eau Claire were Tuesday evening dinner guests at the home of thier sister, Mrs. J. P. Goldern, Hayden Ave. Mr. and Mrs. A. Klemstein, Daniels Ave., returned home Tuesday from Milwaukee and Chicago where they visited relatives. Mrs. Frank Walker, Miss Elaine Walker and the former's grandson, James Boley, Hayden Ave., visited in Marshfield Sunday. Miss Ann Talariso of Eau Claire returned home with them Sunday night. Mrs. J. McLaughlin, Garfield Ave., spent the weekend at the Lloyd Bonin home in Minneapolis. Mrs. Amanda Connell and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ely were Wednesday evening dinner guests at the J. P. Golden home, Hayden Ave. The O. E. S. held a Red Cross sewing bee at the home of Mrs. Maurice Nelson, Hayden Ave., on Friday. The next P. T. A. meeting will be held March 16 at the public school, with Mrs. E. A. Bredesen and Miss Beulah Turney in charge of the program. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Johnson, Garfield Ave., spent Friday in Augusta with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Johnson. Mrs. Keeth Nadler, Hayden Ave., entertained a group of friends from Eau Claire Monday evening at her home. Refreshments were served. The ladies society of the B. of L. F. & E. held their regular meeting at the city auditorium Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Heuer and daughter of Fall Creek were Sunday afternoon guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Al Klingbeil. Misses Lulu Thompson and Ruth Jacobson, Third St. East, spent Friday and Saturday in Chippewa Falls. +++++++++++++++++ And I spent the day in bed yesterday with a migraine. Sorry I didn't get the news out for you. I tried to read the mail, but it was just too painful. I'm feeling somewhat better today, but there's still a ways to go.
