The following was found in the 13 March 1942 edition of the Daily Telegram from Eau Claire, WI: Requests for 10 Truck, Car Tires Granted Rationing Board of County Announces Awards Applications were granted last week by the Eau Claire county rationing board, J. V. Young chairman, for ten truck and passenger car tires, for 9 tubes for the same category of vehicles, for two truck retreads and for three obsolete tires and three obsolete tubes. The application granted were: Heavy Truck and Farm Implements Stewart Bus Lines, Route 2, city, one tire and one tube, Public transportation service Kermit Holcomb, Route 1, Eleva, one tube. Farm tractor. Gerald Ball, Augusta, one tire and one tube. Hauling milk. Franz Jevne, 519 Starr Ave., one tire. Hauling petroleum products. George Gonitzke, 644 Summer St., city, one tire. Hauling milk. Rudolph Zimmerman, Route 1, Strum, two tires and two tubes. Hauling milk. Norbert Neuheisel, 2305 Crescent Ave., city, one tire and one tube. Hauling lime to farmers.
