Wi Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/EauClaire/10589 Surname: Rafferty, Reilly, Arntz ------------------------- Looking for information on John Rafferty who is listed in the 1884 Eau Claire City/County Directory. He was a blacksmith at the Sherman Lumber Mill. Also a Hiram/Henry Rafferty listed as a laborer at Sherman Mill. I think they may have been brothers. John's family is listed in the 1880 Kildare WI census; Henry is listed as living with he parents - Patrick & Catherine Rafferty. Henry Rafferty & Eugenia Arntz are my great grandparents marreid in Lyndon Station Nov 1883. Children are Edward, Charles, Joseph, Alice & my grandfather Leo Jerome. Family history said they were born in Eau Claire. Henry died in Sept 1896 in Eau Claire. Verbal history says he died as the result of being kicked by a horse. After he died Eugenia worked at a stage coach station? cooking, cleaning and doing bookwork. I'm trying to find out if Patrick, John, or Henry Rafferty's families are listed in Eau Claire County census records from 1885 to 1900. Where can I write for find out this information? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!
