They were in the Augusta area, from what I could tell, but I never really knew any of them. I did a little checking and found that there were these Paddock's who owned land back in 1910, including: NAME OF LAND OWNER RANGE SECTION PADDOCK EST, E A 25N-6W 15 PADDOCK, A G 25N-6W 10,16 PADDOCK, BRADFORD 25N-6W 10 PADDOCK, E B 25N-6W 10,15 (found in the Eau Claire Co. archives, under Land Records -- ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/wi/eauclaire/land/1910ec/pqr.txt) These would all be in the Town of Bridge Creek. In fact, looking at a map that shows section numbers, sections 10, 15 and 16 are all next to each other. Range 25N-6W is the block just south of the Augusta city limits and these "Paddock Farms" are located a mile or so to the south and a little to the east of Augusta. To get there, you would take Co. Rd. M south off Hwy 12. Judging from this map it would be in the area where Co. Rds. M and RR intersect. Hope this helps! -- Nance mailto:nsampson@spacestar.net
