They were born in Ireland and married in Prince Edward Island,Canada c1857. They moved to Eau Claire after Dec. 1869. They had a family of 5 girls: Joanna, Catherine, Mary Ann, Margaret Ann and Ellen and 1 son Philip. The 5 girls all married in Eau Claire but I have no further record of Philip the son. Also living with them was Ellen/Helen Walsh born c1786 in Ireland the mother of Ellen Kennedy. She was my grt-grt-grt-grand- mother who I was unable to find any record of until just recently when I turned up this census record. The daughters married as follows; Joanna to A Charles Edward Leach; Catherine to Thomas F. Dowling; Mary Ann to James M. Culpert; Margaret Ann to John Joseph Dowling (bros to Thos.); and Ellen to Albert Hurd. I would be very interested in obtaining death records for either of the Ellen/Helen Walsh's as they could finally provide me with they place of origin in Ireland.
