She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Richard Francis of Kenosha, and Mrs. Mark Williams of Milwaukee, also one son, Emmett Horan, Jr., of the latter place. Two sisters, Mrs. Caroline McMahon of this city and Mrs. Kate Dougherty of Portage, also survive her. Two former sisters, Mrs. T. F. Frawley and Miss Anna Lawler preceded her in death a few years ago. Mrs. Horan belonged to one of the early pioneer families, a daughter of Mr. Joseph Lawler who is very closely associated with those events which mark the history of the Chippewa Valley. Mrs. Horan taught school here in her early teens and her marriage to Mr. Horan in 1874 makes this year their golden anniversary. Mrs. Horan's activities in life were consecrated for the most part to her family to whom she devoted herself unceasingly and unsparingly. Before her health became impaired! she was an ardent worker in all events connected with St. Patrick's church. Mrs. Horan will be remembered for her life long fidelity to her family. The last sad rites will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 at St. Patrick;s church, Rev. A. B. C. Dunne officiating.
