Kershner took place Friday morning, from the residence of his son in law, David Ferguson, at Shawtown. The procession moved to Forest Hill cemetery, where his wife was buried about a year ago. The number of carriages which followed the remains to their last resting place was unusually great, and shows that a great number of friends must have assembled at the obsequies.
