Wi Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/EauClaire/10685 Surname: TAINTER ------------------------- Is there anyone out there who had a relative in Eau Clair Co., Augusta, who was a barber? I have a picture of gg-grandfather, who was a barber, and a calendar dated 1911 from Augusta State Bank is clearly visable in the picture. We're having a terrible time getting any information on him. Believe first name to be Chancelor (sp?) TAINTER. Only know wifes first name, Anna. There is also something that looks like it could possibly be a license. Were barber license or business licenses required in Eau Clair c. 1911? Thank you for any leads here! Debbie
August W. Bock was married to my great grandfather's sister Aggie Dowling on Apr 12, 1887 in Baraboo. He was a barber and they lived in Eau Claire. --- Debbie Cowger <cowbilly@pacbell.net> wrote: > Posted on: EauClaire Co.
