    3. Posted on: EauClaire Co. Wi Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/EauClaire/10622 Surname: Krupp, Tiedemann ------------------------- Casper Amandus Krupp was my great-grandfather. He married Johanna L. Tiedemann, both originally from New Holstein, Calumet County, WI. The marriage date in the Wisconsin records office seems to be wrong because I have a bio from the Biographical History of Clark and Jackson Counties which list it as the same day, but 1888, which makes sense because my great uncle Raymond Krupp, their first child, was born on July 2, 1889. My grandmother and her twin sister, Irma and Orma, were born July 27, 1902. I have names of Johanna's sisters and I know a bit about her father Christian Tiedemann, but that is were I am currently stuck. I have a wedding photo of Casper and Johanna (again, mis-dated, I believe.) and some later photos of them and their children, and I have a photo which I believe is Johanna Tiedemann as a child with her mother whose name I don't know.

Wi Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/EauClaire/10620 Surname: Hoeck ------------------------- Paul Hoeck was born in Iowa in 1872. Him and his wife lived on the home farm in 1906 which was 5 miles west of Bancroft Iowa. Sometime between 1906 and 1940, they sold the farm and moved to Wisc. The family says he was in the Chippewa County Home in 1940-41. I assumed he died there. His wife went by Lizzy. He had a brother Andrew that lived in the Medford area. I do not know anything else about his wife, whether he had any children or where he is buried. I did contact Heyde Health System, Inc. 345 Frenette Drive Chippewa Falls, Wi. 54729 which purchased the Chippewa County Home but these people never answered my letter. Would anyone please be willing to do a cemetery lookup? Thanks

(Only the birth certificates are $12.00 -- marriage and death certificates are both $7.00.) You can send for them at the Courthouse, located on Oxford Ave. -- Nance mailto:nsampson@spacestar.net

    1. RE: [WIEAUCLA] research help
    2. Anna Moore
    3. Hi Jim, What I am really looking for is info on my father's father. My Dad passed away about 5 years ago and the only thing I was ever told about my grandfather was that he died a few months after my father was born and he was a police officer. I was told my Dad was born in Eau Claire. Here's the problem. My grandmother Luella DeLine was in a "Home for the Feeble Minded" in Chippewa Falls around the time of my Dad's birth. Luella was taken by the state of WI when she was a child. Her mother died at a very early age and apparently her father couldn't care for the ten children. Anyway, Luella was at this "home" and took an unauthorized leave and returned in 1919 pregnant. In January of 1920 she gave birth to my Dad, WALTER C. MOORE. She was not married. It looks like my Dad was born at the "home", but the records from that home have long been destroyed. I have been unsuccessful in finding a birth certificate for my dad and the only thing I know is that my Dad's Dad's name was JAMES MOORE (EDWARD maybe the middle name) and that he was a police officer. I guess in Eau Claire. I don't know how you or anyone, for that matter, could help me. If you have any ideas, please contact me. Thanks for reading my long story. I was born and raised in Augusta and most of my ancestors also lived in Augusta, Fall Creek, Bridge Creek, and Hay Creek areas. Although I live three hours away right now I try to get home as often as I can to go to the public library and look thru microfilms for obits, wedding announcements, and anniversary announcements. I also enjoy walking around all of the cemeteries looking for relatives and taking pictures to add to my research book. Again please let me know how I can be more help. Jim Ida JI31313@aol.com
