    3. Helen, I do know that there are some other records for some of the other communities around Eau Claire, but I am not sure about Pepin and Buffalo counties. Contact the McIntyre library for more information on their collection. 3. Terry, Burial records for East Side Cemetery in Augusta are available on microfilm through the Area Research Center in the McIntyre Library on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus. You should be able to get the film through inter-library loan. Let me know if you need any more information. Yes, it's true that the new Message Board system has a few bugs and it is confusing. But they are working on it and I can see where it will be a huge improvement over the old "GenConnect" system once everything is running smoothly. I am encouraged to see the new postings everyday. In the past, with the old GenConnect boards, the messages were gatewayed to this mail list so that anyone who subscribed here to this list could read them here and then respond to the messages on the boards if they had additional information. That system proved to be confusing as many of the subscribers were only responding to the list and not to the board, even though there was a notice at the top of each gatewayed message that said "Respond to..." With the advent of these new boards, one of the major bugs is that the gatewayed message has no identification on it at all of where it came from or who was writing the message. Therefore, I have turned the gateway off until this bug has been corrected. I'm hoping it will be soon and that the messages will be clearly marked so everyone will know whether to respond here or on the boards. Perhaps we can have the best of both worlds once again! I'll let you know when that feature is reinstated. Will you be posting these bios on the Message Board? Please, please, please.... :~) -- Nance mailto:nsampson@spacestar.net

    3. The changes that they have made to rootsweb, since ancestry.com has taken over have been very confusing. Here is the link to the Eau Claire message board: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.eauclaire As I get the time, I will post the bios that I am interested in. If there are any other names of interest to anyone, then please let me know and I will also post these as I get the time.
