I'm pretty certain this is the same family line!! I am told that Emma was from the Stillwater area, and I know that at least one of her children was born there.... I'm happy to share what little I have on Emma & Joseph: Emma's children were Lloyd, Gary, Joseph, Ervin, Lawrence "Dick", Loretta, Leona, and Betty. Lloyd (my husband's grandfather) was the oldest child, and was born out of wedlock on 2-25-1899 in Stillwater, MN. We believe his biological father's last name was Gaynor. I am trying to find a copy of his birth certificate, which has proven difficult. He was adopted by Emma's husband, Joseph Bergman. I have more information on Lloyd's children, grandchildren, etc. etc. If you're interested, let me know and I'd be happy to share this info. also. Their last child, Betty, died soon after birth of a heart condition. Lawrence, nicknamed "Dick", never married. I don't have anything more about the other children; however, there is a family reunion coming up on Aug. 10th (Siren, WI), and I will try to find out more. I know that Emma and Joseph lived in Hammond, WI and raised their kids there. I believe they were farmers. I am trying to find out more about this also. If you have any further information on Emma, including her parents names, further sibling names or sibling families, marriage information, birth/death info., etc. please feel free to e-mail me!! This is exactly what I've been looking for!! I'd also be interested in knowing more about what that "eating green apples" is all about... sounds very interesting!!
