So, we know that the Jacob C Carey in Dunn County is the correct person from Land records and from the marriage to Eva Mary Claire. And we have info from other relatives that he was possible born in NY or Penn and also that his Fathers name was possible William John Carey with his mother being possibly first name Mary. But, the Jacob (Father) in Penn is probably not Jacob C's father as that Jacob stayed in Penn and my Jacob, although married once before in Penn only had 1 child with that spouce, as told. And she thought Jacob C Carey had been killed in the war and so, re-married after some time. When Jacob C returned from the war she was surprised he was still alive. Jacob figured she had started a new life and left PA. Where he exactly went next were not sure of, except he made it to St. Crois County and then married Eva Mary Claire and started a whole new life. He bought land in Dunn County and resided there and started a new family as that is the Family Farm my husband remembers that his grandfather farmed on George Martin Carey, who is Jacob C. Carey's son. Hope this is all making sense. So, I have been looking for William John Carey and wife Mary. But, I am not finding anyone by that name. They were to have come over from Ireland in the earlier 1800's. And Jacob C either came with them from Ireland and his brother John Carey. Or they were born in Binghamton, NY. Now the father's name William John could be wrong and the mother, I am not sure. Anyway I am hoping a death certificate or civil war certificate might help to solve this. But I sure thank you for all your help and appreciate it. If you find anything else please let me know.
