No. I don't have much more information...but I intend to work on it. Charlotte Dora Goerke and Robert Deloss Cummings are my grandmother's grandparents. My grandmother didn't know them well, so she can't help. (She's 90 years old now.) Shiloh sent me a birth certificate for their son, Robert Carl Cummings, which I needed. Fortunately, I can manage some in German (my mother is from Munich) but the old script will be difficult. I may have to get my mother to help read it when I get some research going! I hope to at least find birth records...I was told that Johanna was from Bremen. Hopefully, the war didn't get everything burnt up! I don't know much about the Ordemanns. I do know that the Goerkes settled in the Olympia area of the State of Washington (south of Seattle). Johanna lived there with Wilhelm. Apparently, she was home for a visit to Wisconsin when she died. The Goerkes had a number of sons, but only one or two married and had children. Speaking of German research...have you ever heard the name "Lettenmayer"? My mother's mother was Mathilde Lettenmayer (1892-1971...married Romanus Greif in Munich) and I SHOULD be able to find the family...she was the youngest of 20 children, 17 of whom were boys. However, I don't have anything to go on...
