Gregory Ethel Jean Gregory, 73, Exeland, died Thursday, Sept. 19, at her residence of cancer after an illness of one year. She was born on July 23, 1923, at Iron Creek, the daughter of Robert and Sarah Cook Rosseter. She came to Sawyer County in September of 1991. She and Grant O. Gregory were married on July 12, 1953, at Stillwater, Minn. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Methodist Church at Elk Mound. In addition to her husband, Grant, she is survived by two sons, Willia (Brenda) Woodbeck of Chippewa Falls and Ernie Woodbeck of Refugio, Tex., and a step-son, Dean (Bonnie) Gregory of Spring Valley, Wis.; two daughters, Mary Miller of Spring Valley and Sarah (David) Casper of Exeland; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Rolland (Betty) Rosseter of Spring Valley, and five sisters, Mable Dobbs [sic: Dohms] of Rock Falls, Murtle Eisenhuth of Boyceville, Mary Jane Knuth of South Dakota and Alice Atchison [sic: Acheson] and Louise McQuiston, both of Arizona. She was preceded in death by a son, John Larson. Funeral services were on Monday, Sept. 23, at the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce with Rev. Linda Shearer officiating.
