Arrangements are pending at Smith Funeral Chapel. Eau Claire Leader-Telegram December 27, 2001 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MONDOVI -- Darrell D. Dohms, 61, of E8627 Co. Rd. O, Mondovi, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Darrell was born February 26, 1940, in Eau Claire, the son of Kermit and Della (Stephen) Dohms. He grew up in the Eau Claire area and attended Eau Claire area schools. Darrell graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1958. he married Mabel Rosseter on April 8, 1972. Darrell worked at American Materials for twenty-six years. After a heart condition forced his early retirement, Darrel and Mabel owned and operated Dohm's Grocery, where he worked for the past fifteen years. Darrell will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Darrel is survived by his wife, Mabel Dohms of Mondovi; his stepson, Jeff Torgerson of Eau Claire; his stepdaughter, Dawn Torgerson of Eau Claire; his brother, Doug (Bev) Dohms of Eau Claire; his sisters, Lois Dohms of Eau Claire and Avis (Ken) Blad of Altoona; his grandchildren, Shane Torgerson of St. Louis, MO., Charles Torgerson of Eau Claire, Jeremy Best of Eau Claire, Nicole Best of Minneapolis, Minn., and Dylan Panetti of Eau Claire; and numerous nieces and nephews. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2001, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, with Paster Charles Plaster officiating. Interment will be in Rock Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today, December 28, 2001, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Eau Claire and one hour prior to the service at teh church. Eau Claire Leader-Telegram December 28, 2001
