S. Rossiter, should have been a day of happiness for the couple, but the death of Mr. Rossiter on that date, turned it into an occasion for sorrow. Born In Wisconsin. Delbert Squier Rossiter, 66, was a native of Downsville, Wisconsin, but had resided in California nearly 40 years. He will be remembered in the coast section, as well as here, for in 1916, he and Mrs. Rossiter, then a bride, made their home in Point Arena. Later they moved to Greenwood, and then to Fort Bragg where Mr. Rossiter was engaged in the work of bridge carpenter around Ten Mile, Rockpoint and other sections adjacent to Fort Bragg. The family returned to Point Arena to live several years, during which time Mr. Rossiter was employed in construction work for the late Supervisor J. H. Halliday. For the past 10 years the family home has been in Ukiah and it was among friends made here funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from Eversole Mortuary, Dr. R. A. Van der Las officiating. All Are Sorry. Sympathy in the loss of husband and father is extended Mrs. Florence Rossiter who on Thanksgiving Day, November 30, 1916, became the wife of Delbert Rossiter, and Evelyn, Nellie, Albert and Delbert, the children, all of whom live in Ukiah.
