Kistner Herbert H. Kistner, 74, Rt. 5, Menomonie, was dead on arrival at Memorial hospital Tuesday, Feb. 22. The funeral was held Friday, Feb. 25, at 1:30 p.m. from the Olson Funeral Home with the Rev. E. F. Staehling officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery, Downsville. Mr. Kistner did auto mechanic work and welding, was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Modern Woodsmen of America. He was married Jan. 12, 1925 to Abbie Shafer who survives with three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Eva) Moe, Wauwatosa; Mrs. Roland (Charlotte) Noce, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Jack (Jean) McDonald, St. Paul; three sons, Howard, Dickinson, N. D.; Donald, Menomonie, and Irvin, Colfax; one sister, Mrs. Francis Storing, Menomonie; and 11 grandchildren. One daughter died in infancy. The Dunn County News Menomonie, Wisconsin March 1, 1972
