Kistner, 78, Menomonie, who died Dec. 9 at her home. Rev. Robert Bipes and Rev. Alan Kelsey officiated at the services. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Downsville. Kistner was born April 1, 1902, to Michael W. and Nellie (Rosseter) Shafer, in the Downsville area. She lived in this area all her life. She was the school clerk at Irvington for many years and was a member of the Royal Neighbors and held various offices. She was also a member of several other community organizations and held offices in those organizations as well. She and Herbert Kistner were united in marriage Jan. 12, 1925. Kistner is survived by two sons, Donald, Menomonie, Irvin, Colfax; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Eva) Moe, Wauwatosa, Mrs. Roland (Charlotte) Noce, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Jack (Jean) McDonald, St. Paul, Minn.; one brother, Delbert Shafer, Portland, Ore., and one sister, Mrs. Shirley (Nellie) Thompson, Downsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; an infant daughter, and a son Howard. The Dunn County News Menomonie, Wisconsin c. December 1980
