I am a gg granddaughter of the James Biss buried in the New Haven cemetery and have done a lot of research on this family. James was married to Martha Pawnell in PA, and had the following ch: Elizabeth, Mary, Henry (my ggf) James Jr., Matilda, Martha, Stephen, Samuel U., Ida, and Cornelius. I have a lot of information and a few photos, including one of James Sr in his civil war uniform, and some court documents, including the records about his murder. I suspect that William and James Sr are brothers, but have been unable to document this yet. I also have a fair amount on William Biss Sr and his two marriages and families.
