The Index to the 1855 Dunn County Census has been posted: http://www.rootsweb.com/~widunn/1855_census.htm This is the first official census for the county, after it was split off from Chipppewa County in 1854. As you look for names, keep in mind that the census enumerator may have spelled the names as he "heard" them .... not necessarily as the name is spelled now or the way you might expect they were spelled in 1855.
