She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. When a young woman she immigrated to the United States to join her fiancé in Balaton, Minnesota, where they were married shortly after her arrival. Death claimed her young husband after only four years of marriage, leaving her with two small children, Walter and Emma. In December of 1891 she was united in marriage to Hans Andrew Lindskoug, Five children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Lindskoug, together with her husband, was charter member of the Swedish Lutheran Church in Balaton, Minnesota. She was also a charter member of the Ladies Aide of that church and served as it's president for a time. In 1914 the family moved to a farm in Otter Creek township, Dunn County, Wisconsin. Mrs. Lindskoug in immediately took an active part in the Ladies Aid Society of the Upper Popple Creek Church. Later she served for a time as president of the aid. The last years of her life were spent in Wheeler, Wisconsin where she and Mr. Lindskoug became members of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. On October 11, 1939, after nearly two years of intense physical suffering, her Lord and Savior called her to her rest with him.
