I enjoy buying lovely old pictures like these in antique shops (pictures with names on the back and locations on the front) and locating descendants/family members so that I can re-unite the pictures, for only my costs, with the people who will treasure them. The photo of Vernon was taken in probably December 1903, as the statement on the photo is “born June 7, 1903, age 5 months”. The photo was taken by the Hoff & Kausrud Studio in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Menomonie is in Dunn Co. Vernon is wearing a christening dress, and is a nearly bald baby boy with dark eyes. The photo is 2-3/4” x 4” and mounted on heavy cardboard (45” x 7-1/2”) as was typical during that time frame. The picture is in excellent condition and is an original.
