    3. Rules about disposing of cemetery lots differs from state to state and how the original lots were purchased. My husband's family "owns" 6 lots in a Mason City, Iowa cemetery that the family would like to dispose of as no one in the family currently lives in Iowa. The group that owns the cemetery tells us it is our responsibility to find buyers. They suggest we contact families of people buried in surrounding lots. Still haven't figured out how to go about that project. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jayme Ann" <bosshog@discover-net.net> To: <WIDUNN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 14, 2003 11:15 AM Subject: Re: [DUNN] Re: Plot ownership > The sexton of the cemetery should know who the original owner was.
