Does it still exist as Tainter or did it have a name change? I am looking for information on my great uncle and family. In the 1930 census I found them living in Dunn County in the town of Tainter. Bernt Jensen (born 1866), 2nd wife Bertha (born about 1874). Bernt's first wife, Petrine Larsdatter died in Dane County in 1907. Children of Bernt & Petrine moved with their father to Dunn County after the death of Petrine. I would like to find information on any of these people. The children were Helmer (born 5/30/1893, apparantly worked for the railroad and died in Rapid City So Dakota in 1969), Nora Luella (b 12/15/1894-married in 1915 to a man named Selmer Loe--I admit I am unsure of the spelling of his last name), Oscar John (born 1/22/1899-he was living with Bernt & Bertha in Tainter in 1930), Theodore Ingvald (b 2/2/1902-in 1930 he was living in Tainter with his wife Sarah and daughter Marcella. Sarah was born about 1902 and Marcella Jensen was born about 1927), and Arthur Sanford Jensen (born 2/27/1905). All of these children of Bernt & Petrine were born in Dane County. I do not think that Bernt & Bertha had any children, but I could be wrong. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Mange Takk. Jinger Mandt
