My mother said they have both passed away. I understand both had many health problems. They had 3 children as I recall. I think my mother said they were foster children. Shirley was close to my age and I am 43 now. I recall she had an older brother and sister that I saw when I was very young. I think I once heard that Shirley had children and moved out of state. California maybe. I can't remember the names of the brother and sister. You probably wonder what my family's connection was to Glen and Madeline. My mother grew up in 'Ruby' country near Cornell and she liked to take Sunday drives to visit the area. My parents married in the 40's and lived in the Cornell area for a time. Glen and Madeline were good friends and my parents enjoyed visiting them. I think they may have played cards sometimes but they mostly sat and visited with one another.
