Does anyone know if Lloyd Ellingson is related to Rose or Odin Ellingson? ----- Original Message ----- From: <chmapeder@aol.com> To: <WIDUNN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, June 14, 2003 6:18 PM Subject: [DUNN] Re: Holmenkollen Ski Club, 1908, Colfax, WI > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gFC.2ACI/1380.1.1.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Lee, there was a Bear Valley Ski Club. I have a postcard with all of the group. My Dad is about 8 years old on the picture. In fact, there was a ski jump and we could see from the house when the skiers used the jump because they would go down the hill in front and up the hill on the other side. I inspected the jump when I was about 14 and it was rotted but it really was quite high and being on the hill gave the skiers a could run. Also, Lloyd Ellingson, Colfax, represented the United States in ski jumping competition during the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY in February 1932. > > > ==== WIDUNN Mailing List ==== > Contribute your data to our marriage page: > http://www.rootsweb.com/~widunn/marriages.htm >
From the 1958 History of Dunn Co -- p,. 147 Rose ?? married Pastor Elmer Ellingson, a rancher's son from Ft. Buford, ND in 1938. There is a story of them going to Alaska but no mention of any children or brothers or Rose's maiden name.
