Her first mariage was to a Harrington that ended in divorce. She had one child with him. She then married Elias Johnson from Tainter, Dunn County, Wisconsin, a Norwegian immigrant. Together they had 5 children, one of whom is still living in Menomonie. He is my great-uncle. Her mother Marit (Mary) was married to a Theodore Oleson. She had 4 children with him (John, Mariah, Caroline and Matilda). Theodore passed away at an early age and she later married William Harrington Jr. and had 5 more children. Son, Marc Troupe, (according to SSA Death Index) born in Boyceville 8/16/1834 and died in Connorsville June 1971. Does anyone have any information about these people or this family? He is listed on the 1900 census living with his son-in-law, Hiram Cutting, in Grant Town, Dunn County. He was 89 years old at the time. His wife, Jean/Jane Kirkwood died on Nov. 14, 1890 in Auburn, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. She is buried in the Popple Creek Cemetery in Dunn County. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Frank was born in Menomonie Wis. in 1886. I believe his mothers father was leopold rudinger, and his father was born in Germany, at least that is what it says on his birth certificate. Apr 20, 1856 in Prussia, in the 1925 Dunn County History. The name is not listed in the Index. He came to America in 1888. Married in Germany in 1885 to Paulina Schoemacher who was b. Aug. 15, 1857 in Prussia. Children: Paul, Fred, Bertha, Leonard, Ronald, Margaret, August, and Emma. Some of the children are listed as living in Seattle, Wash in 1925. He was married a 2nd time to Mrs. Bertha (Steffen) Storing. This is a long bio and found on pp. 276-278. If you think there's a connection, I can transcribe it all for you. Linda

Bourn. Rachel's parents were Harrison Walker & Emma Sophia Moore. Alvin's parents were Henry Bourn & Catherin Mathews. Alvin was born on the family farm about 1877. He and Rachel were married about 1906 in Downing, Dunn County, WI. They lived on the family farm in Downing. I have found them on the 1920 census as Brown but haven't found them on the 1910 census. News 20 Sep 1934: Ludvig Elftmann, age 82 years, a resident of Dunn County for many years, died Friday, September 14, at 8:30 pm at his home in the town of Weston. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. J. Mittlestaedt officiating. Internment was made in the town of Menomonie. Mr. Eleftmann (sic) was born Feb. 16, 1852 at Carolina in the German province of Posen. He was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of his native land. In May 1870 Mr. Elftmann came to the United States, landing in New York. After working for 3 years on a farm near Albany, he came to Oshkosh were he was married July 25, 1874 to Ernestine Eckert. They moved to Menomonie worked for Knapp, Stout and Company, then moving to a farm in the town of Weston where he resided until his death. Two sons were born to them, the eldest died in infancy. Mrs. Elftmann died 22 years ago. Seven years ago Mr. Elftmann suffer! ed a stroke and another three years later. He was one of the early members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Besides his son Ernest, one granddaughter and one brother, August Elftman, of Elmwood survive.
