    1. [DUNN] Diffendorfer - Diffendarfer Connersville, Dunn Co, 1930
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Diffendorfer, Diffendarfer, Hage Classification: Census Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gFC.2ACI/1344 Message Board Post: I am searching for the 1930 census record of the James Diffendorfer family believed to have been in Connersville in 1930. I have been unable to even find Connersville in the census records. It may have been in another county in 1930. The family unit would have included Louis (Albert) as head of household, Christine as wife, and their sons, Jarl and Laverne. Any assistance on where I could find Connersville in the census files would be appreciated.

    1. [DUNN] Lima
    2. Mary Ellen & Don Brue
    3. To reach Lima, go east of Durand on highway and turn north on county highway BB. There is a Catholic church, cemetery and school. It is between Durand and Mondovi- not near Rock Falls. The school still had students last year but only grades 1-6. In the 1950's the school had grades 1-12. They had an outstanding marching band that took many trophies in competition. I grew up a few miles north of Lima and south of the Tyrone place the Bob mentioned. It is between Hwy10 and StateHwy85 in the direction of Rock Falls (85) or Mondovi (10). Many of the community belonged to the Lima Catholic Church which is no longer used (I believe). The church members are now part of the Durand Deanery and can be contacted via: Lima, Holy Rosary Parish, PO Box 188, Durand, WI 54736 Phone 7156392741. My childhood was spent at Tyrone Farm, Town of Peru, Dunn County, Wisconsin along the Chippewa River. Many of the Lima community visited our farm to go swimming and picnicing.
