I have a postcard with all of the group. My Dad is about 8 years old on the picture. In fact, there was a ski jump and we could see from the house when the skiers used the jump because they would go down the hill in front and up the hill on the other side. I inspected the jump when I was about 14 and it was rotted but it really was quite high and being on the hill gave the skiers a could run. Also, Lloyd Ellingson, Colfax, represented the United States in ski jumping competition during the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY in February 1932.

I'm guessing you went to Evergreen Cemetery which is a tough one to "walk." The Area Research Center at UW-Stout has a listing of the cemeteries and who is buried there. You can contact the archivist, Kevin Thorie, at the address below. Good luck with your search! Try the spelling of STOVEREN.

Wisc. and Sarah passed away April 25,1875. We past through your town and stopped and went through one cemetery in town and the fellow mowing the lawn told us that for that time period we probably needed to go to the one that went across a lake which we did . It was very large and we viewed all we could in the time we had and had to leave for Chicago. I wondered if any one knew who I might write in finding out if this is the cemetery that we need. Or is there a web site that I might use to get info. These are my fourth generation grandparents. Thank you for your help. Kay Latimer
