Lydia probably died before 1860, as I don't see her on the 1860 or 1870 census for Dunn County. Jesse, her husband, probably died after 1870, as he was in his early 80s at the time. They probably lived near Sherman on Menomonie. Bev. Giles

Thank you for you reply. Sorry, but I do not have any further information on the Ordemann, Ordeman family. I posted the sketch on Thomas Massee as a volunteer and I'm not related to the Massee family directly. I did check the "History of Dunn County" published in 1925. Neither Ordemann or Ordeman was listed in the index. Brierley Sr., is my grandfather's brother. My Grandfather was Bryan O. Brierley, b. July 21, 1886 at Coal City, Ill. He married Amelia Jane Trickey, b. April 4, 1891, at Springfiled, Wisconsin. They had two children, Leone b. 4/15 about 1915 and my father, Bryan Norris b. 8/5/23. My Grandfather worked for Northern States Power Company in Fargo, North Dakota, retiring after 42 years. He started as an oiler and engine room helper in 1910. He was promoted to watch engineer in 1913, and to chief operator in 1926, a position he held until his retirement. In 1955 he was the first motor vehicle accident death in Cass County, North Dakota, on February 19, 1955. He had parked his car accross the highway from the Standard Oil Station on a trip back to Fargo from Grand Forks with his wife and Mrs. Alfred Bleyer. He was struck by a car traveling about 50 miles per hour and thrown about 80 feet, landing in the snow near the edge of the north driveway to the filling station. As I child, we traveled to Orofino, ID to visit my Great Uncle Joe Brierley and his wife Mary. I have been told I met Uncle Walter and Aunt Edna, but I have no memory of it. I do remember our trips to visit Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary. Their farm was beautiful and he and Aunt Mary had a cat and dog I loved to play with. They had a beautiful farm house on the river and he would take us to the river to pan for gold. He also owned an interest in the local lumber mill and gave us a tour. Uncle Joe was VERY proud of his prize bull. My parents have told me many times the story about how that bull licked Aunt Mary's hand and her diamond ring was swallowed by the bull. Rather than kill the bull, Aunt Mary patiently waited for the ring to "pass" and she found it! I have a very extensive family history on most of my family, however my records of the Brierley family history are very weak. Since my Grandfather passed away when I was only two years old and my Grandmother Brierley passed a year later, I did not have the opportunity to hear all the old family stories from them. I would love to hear any information on the family tree on the Brierley side. I don't even know who my Grandfather's parents were. Any information anyone has on the history of this Brierley family would be much appreciated!

From the 1958 History of Dunn Co -- p,. 147 Rose ?? married Pastor Elmer Ellingson, a rancher's son from Ft. Buford, ND in 1938. There is a story of them going to Alaska but no mention of any children or brothers or Rose's maiden name.
