Did some one else run the boarding house for the employees. The 1855 Wisconsin Census "head of the household" looked something like "Carson, Eat?n & Gal????". To me it looked like "Carson, Eaten, & Galeniu or Galenieu". Which I have never heard of. If someone can straighten me out. Great!! Bill

He married Mary Bredeson and they lived in Rice Lake, WI. Hawken's parents, Halvor and Oliania, are buried in the Holden Cemetery, along with Hawken's siblings, Knut and Ole. Halvor and Oliania (Hawken's parents) lived in Grant Township for a number of years. The family farmed in the Colfax and Grant Township area. Do you have info on Hawken? As for the Satters, I have these first names: Christopher and Olga had these children: Albert, Anne, Arthur, Clara, David, Elaine, Johnny, Olive, Oscar, Robert, Joseph, and Daniel. I don't know exactly where the Satters lived, but assume it would be in the Colfax/Grant Twp area. Jill
