WI. I see from 1880 census that Able was born in NY and the same census says that Jackson's father was born in NY so maybe Jackson was Able's son. If so, what I know of Jackson is that he was born in Bradford, McKean Co., PA in 1835, at age 3 moved with parents to Manchester, IA and at age 16 he moved to WI. At various times he ran a sawmill, a wagon shop, a store and was farming when he died at Weston, Dunn Co.in 1915. If this is the same family you may get some hints from above - good luck.

I know he has lots of newspaper clippings and pictures of the old mill. I will see what I can find out from him. He is 96 but still very sharp and knows about all there is to know about that area.
