McQuiston, 19, Rt. 2, Boyceville, died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on a town road near Hillsdale in Barron County early Sunday morning. McQuiston, according to reports lost control of his vehicle on a town road southwest of Barron and the car rolled several times. He reportedly was crushed under the vehicle after he was tossed from it. Funeral services for Herman R. McQuiston were held today (Wednesday) at the Olson Funeral Home, Menomonie, with the Rev. Bernard Schrieber officiating. Interment was in the St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery, Eau Galle. He was born Aug. 26, 1951, at Glenwood City, and was a life-long resident of the Boyceville area. At the time of his death he was a vocational-technical student. He is survived by his wife, Darlene [ne Schlosser], Rt. 2, Boyceville; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett McQuiston, Rt. 2, Boyceville, a sister, Kathleen, and a brother, Allen, both at home; and a grandfather, Robert Rosseter, Cedar Falls. unknown newspaper clipping unknown date c. Marman [sic: Herman] R. McQuiston, 19, Rt. 2, Boyceville, was killed early Sunday in a one-car crash. Officials said he lost control of his vehicle on a town road southwest of Barron and the car rolled over several times. McQuiston was crushed under the vehicle after he was tossed from it. A truck-motorcycle crash late Saturday claimed another life. David Gunderson, 16, Rt. 1, Cumberland, was killed when his motorcycle and a truck collided on CTH B six miles northwest of Rice Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, one daughter, one brother and one sister. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Kathleen Windsor of Menomonie; one son, Allen McQuiston of Wilson; one brother, Leslie McQuiston of Forest Lakes, Ariz; two sisters, Violet Acheson of Eau Claire and Lula Adrian of Chippewa Falls; and two granddaughters. January 1972 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18-Year-Old Girl Killed By Truck Dunn County recorded its 14th traffic fatality of 1971 when Sandra J. Rosseter, 18, Rt. 1, city, died as a result of injuries sustained when she was struck by a truck on a town road, a mile north of Cedar Falls, Friday, Dec. 31, at about 11:08 p.m. According to the report, Miss Rosseter was in the roadway when she was struck by a truck driven by [name deleted], 17, [address deleted], St. Paul. [name deleted], headed northeast on the town road, told officers he felt a "thump." He turned his vehicle around and saw the girl in the road. He reportedly went to Pine Point Lodge where he called authorities and then went back tot he scene of the accident where he noticed the body had been moved, probably when it was struck by an unidentified vehicle, according to the report. Miss Rosseter was taken to Memorial Hospital here by the Dunn County Ambulance service where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Dunn County Traffic Officers Gordon Heisa and Clarence Bryan investigated at the scene of the accident. Funeral services for Miss Rosseter were held at the Olson Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. I am a gg granddaughter of the James Biss buried in the New Haven cemetery and have done a lot of research on this family. James was married to Martha Pawnell in PA, and had the following ch: Elizabeth, Mary, Henry (my ggf) James Jr., Matilda, Martha, Stephen, Samuel U., Ida, and Cornelius. I have a lot of information and a few photos, including one of James Sr in his civil war uniform, and some court documents, including the records about his murder. I suspect that William and James Sr are brothers, but have been unable to document this yet. I also have a fair amount on William Biss Sr and his two marriages and families. If you want to share, please contact me off the list.

He married Henrietta Schleusner in Stillwater, Minn., on April 18, 1936. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles [Edson Charles Rosseter] and Emma [Billings]. Funeral services were held July 1 at 11 a.m. at the McElravy-Geir Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hope Francis Lyman was born July 14, 1909 to Frank and Mabel (Goff) Lyman in Morril County Nebraska. She was married to Charles G. Rosseter on Dec. 29, 1939 at Boyceville. She and her husband farmed in Dunn County all their married life. After retirement she lived in Boyceville. She had been a resident of Glenhaven Nursing Home since April of 1991. Hope was receded in death by her husband Charles in 1978, and one son, Charles R. Rosseter. She is survived by one niece, Bonnie Hatleli of Tucson, AZ, and one grandniece, Starr White. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 1994 at Everts Funeral Home, Glenwood City at 11 a.m. with Rev. C. Arlene Denzer officiating and music by Mrs. Roberta Limberg, organist.
