JAMES PARENTEAU Age 81,of centerville,OH, beloved husband,father,grandfather,and great grandfather peacefully departed this world saturday,november 9,2002. Jim was born in Superior,WI.,November 4,1921 to Edward and Clara Parenteau, 1 of 8 brothers and 5 sisters. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps when he was 19. Jim retired from the U.S.A.F. after 20 years of service to his country as a Chief Warrant Officer. Jim`s employment included 15 years as Communications "Manager" of autodin at D.E.S.C. in Kettering,OH,he volunteered for 17 years at Children`s medical Center entertaining children while waiting for their doctor`s appointments,and kept records for Volunteer hours served. Jim was a member of American Legion Post 598,a 42 year member of the Fairborn St. Luke United methodist Church,and a 20 year member of the Shooting Stars Square dance Club. He loved to fish and play pool. In addition his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers: Art,Roy,Clarence,Jerry,Butch,and Harold:3 sisters:! Evelyn, Eleanor,and Marcella,and a grandson,Andrew Bruck. He is survived by his wife of 60 years,Winifred;1 daughter,Ann Bruck and husband,Ron;1 son,Frank parenteau and wife,Rusty;3 grandchildren,Christopher Bruck,Kristine Parenteau;and James parenteau and wife,Bethany;and 2 great grandchildren,Jennifer and Amy Bruck; 1 brother,Robert Parenteau and wife,Nora;and 2 sisters,Patricia Maki and husband,Paul and Rose Marie Paulson. Funeral services 10 A.M. Tuesday at the Tobias Funeral Home,Far Hills Chapel,5471 Far Hills Ave.at Rahn Rd. Pastor Chuck Showkwiller officiating. Entombment Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 P.M.
