Ran the Jewel Hotel in Houghton during the 1920s or 19 30s. Husband Isaac Isto. Don't think they were ever married but just used his name for herself and three children. Mayme, Elsie, and Walter. She came from Alajarvi Finland. Her maiden name was Haapala. Elsie and Walter real last name was Huhtala. Walter is buried in the Finnish cemetery outside of Hancock MI. They lived in Hancock and worked in Houghton I think. they later migrated to Allouze near Superior. They were on the 1920s Census. They were then living in Ashland Ashland County Wisconsin.
