I think he came here in about 1866. Some of my elder living relatives believe he came in through Florida, but I haven't been able to find any evidence. Albert Herman Lawin was born 18-Mar-1876, Grunewald, Neustettin, Germany. By May of 1905, he was married in Minnesota. My mom thinks he came to America about 1902, but nobody knows for sure.
