I have looked for naturalization records, but so far, found nothing. The Lawins bounced back and forth between Minnesota and Wisconsin. The Milwaukee Genealogical Society has never heard the name Lawin. I checked at the Iron Range Heritage Center, in Chisolm, MN, and they had neither of them on file. As far as I know those are the only spellings for their last names. Canada is a distinct possibility. I would appreciate any efforts on your part. Thanks.
