This isn't a great lead, but this is what I can tell you. My family settled in Dodge County, Wisconsin, also. I have been researching my great grandmother's family---the SWANs. My great grandmother was Susan Ann SWAN, b. 24 March, 1829 in March, Cambridgeshire, England. She migrated with her parents and 2 siblings about 1848 and settled in Theresa, Dodge County, WI. Her parents were John and Sarah (SWAN) SWAN.[This is confusing because Sarah's maiden name was SWAN, and her father was also!!! John SWAN]. Other family members also came about the same time. I have traced the family back to England and have found that there is a pretty good website for the Cambridgeshire area of England. In researching related family members, I have found that there are a number of people listed with the name GOODENOUGH, some are married into the SWAN family. They may have immigrated at a later date and joined their relatives in Dodge County. You might check into the website.
