She lived 38 years, 9 months and 18 days and had been sick for a long time. The former Theresa Gergen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicolaus Gergen, was born in Rubicon on January 4,1881. She married Richard A. Mayer of Milwaukee on June 7,1910 and they lived in Hartford. They had no children. She is survived by her husband, 6 brothers and 3 sisters: Jacob Gergen of Proco, Utah, John Gergen of San Bernadino, California, Nicolaus G. Gergen and Mathias Gergen of Hartford, Peter Gergen of Turtle Lake, North Dakota, Philipp Gergen of Madison, Mrs. Susan Groh of Milwaukee, Mrs. Mayme Lee of Chicago and Mrs. Maria Mauch of Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents. The funeral was last week Wednesday morning from St. Kilians Catholic Church. Burial in the parish cemetery. (no minister mentioned)
