At least the following Dodge County surnames appear in my family files. Please see my website at www.familytreemaker.com/users/k/r/e/Nicole-Marie-Kreuziger for details and a more complete list, as many surnames overlap several Wisconsin counties and I may have missed some. I hav also included all ancestral surnames of my emigratin ancestors, although the info I have for them includes only overseas info, I have seen a lot of these surnames in same areas as their descendents whom emigrated and thus, that info may also be of use to many of you. Hi everyone and Happy New Year, Let me start by thanking those that helped me last spring and summer. I was able to find the gravestone for John W Fay d.1868 in Burnnett Corners cemetery, an advertisement from Emma Fay in 1865 in Watertown for a select school she was opening there, and a newspaper article relating the death of William Fay in 1865 in a hunting accident in Fox Lake. They were all from New York, and all came to be in Burnett as did Elijah Fay even earlier, apparently 1837-1843. Thats all I could find after several trips to Dodge county. After the death of WIlliam and John W Fay they all seem to have left as I have not been able to find a trace of the wives or children anywhere in the country. I suspect some of the children may well have stayed in the county and would be most interested in hearing from anyone that may find them in their family trees or have any more information on them Hope everyone has a nice new year, Bob Fay Robert W Fay Sturtevant, Wisconsin USA Researching Fay (WI, NY) de Fay (Normandy, Ireland, England, France), Rose (IA, VA), de Rose(Normandy, Scotland), Deagan (WI, O H, Irela nd), Burritt (NY, CT) Visit the Fay websites at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~faywebsite/index.html http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~fayfamily/index.html Join us at the FAY Mail list at Rootsweb.com: Subscribe by sending an email with the single word subscribe on the subject line to: FAY-L-Request@rootsweb.com
