My Widmann family bible was lost/stolen in Wisconsin in 1988/1989. It dates from the 1870's, and is likely a St. James version, in German. It belonged to Elizabeth Krieger and William Widmann, married in 1872 in Waterloo Iowa. It is very large, placemat-sized, leather binding with large gold scrolls on the front. It contains my family genealogy and pictures. It was last seen in a hospital in Eau Claire Wisconsin in 1988 or in a nursing home in Whitewater Wisconsin in 1989. I am more than willing to pay to retrieve it. If the current owner is unwilling to part with it, I would love to make a copy of it for our family. We just are hoping very much that it still exists.
