They Moessners came from Gondelsheim Germany, and were bakers. There is still a mill in Gondelsheim that they built.The Schadels are related to the Brastbergers--an ancient family near Stuttgart and also lived in Tubingen and Zell unter Aichelberg. The Brastbergers have a family "burg" or castle in Ehningen. The family moved to Williamsburg at the same time as Georgia O'Keefe's family and in Sun Prairie they lived in the next farm to the O'Keefes. Kathy Harig I have pictures of the whole family (now buried in Sun Prairie) in front of their farm house in Sun Prairie at my Grandmother's wedding in 1920. More information if you'd like it.
