    3. Torture Trio Up in Court for Sentence Sentencing of John Dresen, Jr. Norbert Greiber, and Norbert Theis ?? "torture bandits" who ?? to rob Mike Lenertz (sic), grocery store keeper several ?? ago, was delayed this morning when L. W. Hall, Madison attorney appeared before Judge Roy Proctor of superior court and ?? permission to introduce mitigating evidence in behalf of Theis. ?? contended that in view of the fact that Theis sat in the ?? while the other two 22-year-old ?? entered the store and attempted to get money from Lenertz (sic), he should not be charged as ?? but as an accessory to the crime. ?? testified that on the night of the robbery he had been drinking changing the story he previously told. ?? Treichel, assistant district attorney, had recommended a sentence of one to five years each in Green Bay for the three youths. Judge Procter denied Hall the ?? examine Greiber ?? his statements about ?? ?? contended Thies (sic) was not ?? that he was not masked. Wearing a mask during a robbery ?? five years to the maximum ?? of 20 years. The session was moved to Judge Heppmann's court room on the ?? floor of the court house because the superior court room was being painted. The circuit court was packed with residents of Roxbury and vicinity. ?? Theis, father of Norbert, said he had never had any ?? with the boy. He also said he rented a farm for the boy and his brother to work this year. ?? Walser, William Matz, Ew?? ??, William Speth, Norbert Breunig, all neighbors ??
